Green Family

Thank you so much for being such great sports and going in the snow! I had so much fun and it was just really great to take pictures in such a beautiful spot. Of course it helped a lot that you guys are so photogenic! Baby was such a trooper in the cold and he looked so cute! I think we got some really nice shots and I hope you like them so far!

Lawrence Family

Thank you so much Lawrence family for being so fun and PATIENT! On top of being a sweet family that I am so grateful to have gotten to know, this session was filled with all sorts of “firsts” for me and I really appreciate you being understanding and accommodating! I don’t do many studio sessions and I had fun trying to work with my lighting in a new way, learning new things as I went along. And other than getting locked out of the studio and having to reschedule, I had a great time getting to know you all better and really look forward to continuing our session for the “Spring Portion” of the shoot. Luckily I have very forgiving and patient friends. My editing program totally crashed a little while ago and I had to go and replace it before I could finish editing the last couple of sessions I have done. A little girl no more…

My baby turned 8 last month and I’m still having a hard time getting over it. I think all parents can relate to the feeling that it doesn’t seem possible that their baby has grown up so quickly, yet at the same time, it’s hard to remember a time when they weren’t a part of our lives. While she and I bonk heads occasionally (she’s too much like her father… 😛 ) she is an amazing daughter and I am so proud of the young lady she is becoming.

Remember…. Always

We went to the Healing Field in Sandy, Utah this weekend to pay tribute to our military heroes. The sight of 3,000 flags, each representing an outstanding individual who lost their life in the disaster of September 11 was awe-inspiring. While it is a reminder of loss and tragedy, it was amazing to see how many people were there to show their respect and thanks to those who still choose to protect this great nation. A lot of things have changed over the last 10 years, some good, some not so good. The world my children will grow up in is vastly different than the one that I grew up in. Change in itself does not have to be negative or positive, only different. It is up to us what we do with those changes. Hopefully I can raise my children to be accepting and contributing members of society who will always remember where we came from to learn where we want to be.

So, it’s been a little while since I posted any pictures on my blog, but this last session was so much fun! Emily, a dear friend from Elementary School (Yikes!) and her three little girls are not only great little models with perfect posing techniques, but they all have the cutest personalities! Em, I feel so lucky I got to spend some time with you and your girls and get to know them better. Hope you like these few pictures for now and I’ll have more for you soon!
