Several years ago, I realized I was in need of my “passion” in life. Of course, raising my three kids will always be a source of great pride for me, but I knew I was ready to add another challenge – a challenge that I could lose myself in until 2 in the morning trying to get it “just right”. I knew a professional photographer who agreed to train me in the details of photography, and I thought this is my chance! While I never figured I would end up in an artistic field (I majored in Biology!), the opportunity to learn something new, stretch my creative side and use equipment that can do amazing things was irresistible. And as an added bonus, I can take great pictures of my great kids!
Life gets busy now, with my daughter in school and my identical twin sons growing at alarming rates. I realize more and more how life is made up of the precious memories that I hope I will never forget. I know now that my passion is in capturing the flavor of all the fleeting moments in our lives – the anticipation of a first-born child, the bliss of jumping into the first pile of freshly-raked leaves in the fall, the electricity of taking the next step after high school, or the mischievousness of swiping the first slice of cake at the wedding. And all the amazing moments in-between.
